RIWAMA Sole Administrator, Bro. Felix Obuah Hails Commitment Of Service Providers
…Says Diligent Service Providers Will Be Rewarded
The Sole Administrator, Rivers State Waste Management Agency, RIWAMA, Bro Felix Obuah, in continuation of his daily inspection of roads and streets in Port Harcourt, the State capital and its environs, has commended renewed efforts of service providers in ensuring that their respective areas of operation are kept clean.
The RIWAMA Boss made this observation early morning of today, Friday, while on the daily morning inspection at the slaughter bridge, YKC Junction to Woji, G.U. Ake Road, Eneka, Woji/Elenwo By-Pass Bridge, Akpajo Junction to RSTV Elelenwo, Mini-Okoro to Woji Railway line, Nkporgu Road, Aba Road, Isaac Boro Park, Nsukka Street, Ada George Road (from Agip axis), Ikwerre Road (from Mile 3 to Rumuokwuta), Sarachim, East-West Road (from Rumuokoro market to Eliozu) and NTA Road, among others.
He noted that the service providers have demonstrated that they are prepared to do their work, in compliance with the terms of their engagement and reassured that the Agency will not compromise but continue to do its best to achieve the desired objective of restoring a clean healthy environment in the State.
Bro Obuah expressed satisfaction with the cleanliness of the roads and streets visited in Port Harcourt, and its environs, and assured that service providers who continue to head the directive of the Agency of keeping their zones clean daily will be rewarded.
While addressing some residents during the inspection exercise, the RIWAMA Sole Administrator stated that the challenges in keeping our roads and streets clean are huge, and called on them to support the efforts of Governor Nyesom Wike, through the Agency, in keeping the State clean, by imbibing the habit of cleanliness at home and in public places.
He also enjoined residents and all those doing business in the State to reciprocate the efforts of the service providers by strictly keeping to the stipulated time (6pm – 12 midnight) of dumping their wastes at the approved receptacles in their respective areas.
